"Oakland County's future depends on us making the right choices and setting the right priorities. Here are some of the most important issues we face:
Tomorrow's Jobs - Oakland County has 130,000 fewer jobs than we had 12 years ago. When we fill our empty storefronts, industrial parks and factories with tomorrow's jobs, the economic health of the region will be restored.
Help for Homeowners - We must continue helping Oakland County homeowners who are "underwater" to refinance and take advantage of record low mortgage rates. I will fight for funding to increase county efforts that help families prevent foreclosure in the first place.
Fix the Roads - Our roads and bridges need fixing, and I will fight for additional road funding to make our roads safer for vehicles, pedestrians and non-motorized transportation."
